Our Story
Join the race to make the world better
Greenjoules, as the name aptly denotes, is a contemporary enterprise that upholds reliable, simple, scalable and innovative solutions to help navigate and find energy solutions that best suit their needs. We are committed to providing tailor-made solutions for bio-waste – something that is a potential threat to the environment and are hard to dispose off or re-use.
GreenJoules specializes in making renewable Biofuels, commonly recognized as “Drop-in Fuels”, which are curated entirely from agricultural residue and renewable wastes from agro processing industries.
Positive impact for GENERATIONS to come!
Established in early 2018, GreenJoules has Biorefinery located in Chakan, near Pune, India. We believe in having a cleaner energy future and have been preparing for the challenges of a lower-carbon future.
At Green Joules, we take bio waste and convert it into everyday fuel that can be used industrially (to power boilers) and commercially (say in your cars). We have come up with a custom set of process conditions that enable our fuel to have a far smaller carbon footprint as compared to ethanol and biodiesel. Indeed, our fuel is carbon neutral and moreover it is not energy intensive making it an easily attainable reality. The carbon we release into the atmosphere from diesel combustion, we take in from all the carbon rich waste thereby maintaining the carbon balance in the environment
We understand that the energy market is evolving rapidly. Blame on it exuberant demand of energy along with an urgent need to curb emissions, we wanted to provide a sustainable and environment-friendly solution. It was here started making Abhilasha Biofuels, a renewable Biofuels portfolio made entirely from agricultural residue and renewable wastes from agro processing industries.
We believe in placing the needs of a clean environment first. Because we understand the fact that a clean environment is not a by-product of Indian prosperity, but it’s a necessary precondition for true prosperity of our future generation.
In the coming times, we understand that the world will need much more energy to power homes and fuel transport for a rising population, along with amped up standards of living. However, to diminish climate change, it is pivotal for energy to be derived only from lower-carbon sources. It is here that GreenJoules’ know-how, technology and innovations will be helping you to deliver more, cleaner energy.
GreenJoules is a reputed and well-recognized name in the field of Biofuels. In fact, it has been mentioned in the Biofuels Policy 2018 of the Government of India, as “Drop-In Fuels”. Additionally, our fuels also satisfy the requirements for EU specified fuels on Sulphur and PAH, making them products of excellence, acceptable everywhere.
Our R & D team is always on the lookout for new agricultural waste to add to our cornucopia of raw materials. If you have any waste/effluent you would like treated or want to enquire about an existing product or simply want to know more about us, just write us an email or fill the form at the bottom of the screen.
Our Mission
Our mission is to Remodel waste to power the future.
Our Vision
Our vision is to become a Global Leader in the field of sustainable energy future.
We want to be an India Proud company that has a strong societal license to operate and make a positive contribution to society through our activities. Armed with a vision to expand our global footprint, moving forward we aim to make sustainable development by making environmental and social considerations as a part of our healthy decision-making.
We want to expand our portfolio to include products that are not just carbon neutral but carbon positive- or better still, have nothing to do with Carbon at all. We want to be at the forefront of the revolution to produce sustainable energy that does not depend on nature’s resources, and is still efficient, cheap and accessible to all.
Looking ahead in future, we would like to restore the balance in nature; the energy balance, the greenhouse gases balance, the balance between food and energy but most importantly the balance between what we take from our mother earth and what we give back to it!
